A BEAM OF LIGHT!

Two ideas:

#1. To find Scriptures on light and darkness, do an online search at Bible Gateway.

Here is Psalm 119:105 from The Message:

“By your words I can see where I'm going;
they throw a beam of light on my dark path.
I've committed myself and I'll never turn back
from living by your righteous order.”

#2. Go to iTunes.com (or your favorite online music store) and download the song, “This Little Light of Mine.” (Try out the rockin’ version from Bruce Springsteen and The Sessions Band.) Then sing along in the dark—and reflect on what God expects of you. Can you identify with those who don’t have physical or spiritual light?

#3. L.I.G.H.T. up your heart for the poor. Think of five words (each one beginning with a letter from L.I.G.H.T.) that describe how God wants you to use your head, heart, hands and feet on behalf of the poor:
